In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
Gen 1:1-4

Concerning this website, I feel it is at a beginning much like the earth was in this passage. God has certainly been a part of this ministry long before I was born but in His timing will bring life to it.

The third and fourth verses of the above passage can temporarily be called the focus of this ministry . Although this is not the signature verse, it does relate to the process of this ministry. Light, or truth, is the vital ingredient to a world void of it. Like oil and vineger, the natural laws of light and truth are that in their simplistic purity they cannot be diluted. This ministry is all about truth and the freedom it provides in Christ.

Thank you for visiting. I pray that this ministry will touch many lives...

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
James 1:2,3

This website is meant to challenge you and get you (and me for that matter) to think more deeply about our faith. Both types of people, shallow and deep, have trials. It is how we handle these trials that is the point.

Life for a believer can be summed up in his/her faith and their actions derived from that faith. Have you ever taken a moment to apply the things you do, or say, as a strong defense for your faith?

When we work to align everything we do in accordance with our faith and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, we will discover the kinds of trials James is talking about. Living life itself should be a constant test of our faith. Everything we do and say must maintain an integrity that is based on scripture. That is the trial of life. It is this constant work, aligning everything we do according to the Gospel, that we must persevere in. The joy is knowing that this allows us to look and act more like Jesus. The more we persevere, the more equipped we are at living a life of integrity, pleasing our Heavenly Father and following His will in our lives.

Whether you want them to or not, your actions display the faith/knowledge and commitment you actually have in Christ Jesus.

Do your actions, thoughts, and words betray or support the faith you claim to have?

If you are not ready to have your faith and deeds tested or to have character weaknesses exposed, then you are not ready to see and experience the truth that frees us in Christ Jesus.

It seems intimidating, but we must remember how much our Heavenly Father loves us. His whole desire is to see us transformed into the image of His Son and spend eternity with Him.

A profound truth is that this journey is ultimately made on our own. Thankfully, we do have our Lord and Savior and the Holy Spirit with us, not to mention our brothers and sisters in the church and all of the angels in heaven rooting for us, but I will explain next time how this is our own journey in the end.
